In collaboration with BMJ Learning, we have created a new course for GPs on myeloma. This interactive course gives practical tips on the detection and diagnosis of myeloma and MGUS.
This 30-minute course is free.
The course supports GPs to:
- Feel confident of when to suspect myeloma in primary care
- Understand which investigations to order and how to interpret them
- Know when to refer patients with symptoms or abnormal test results to secondary care and how urgently this should be done
- Understand how active myeloma is diagnosed and treated in secondary care
This resource has been developed as part of the Myeloma UK ‘diagnose myeloma earlier’ strategy to speed up the detection, referral and diagnosis of myeloma.
